Middlesbrough Mela is one of the biggest and most spectacular multi-cultural festivals in the North-East and offers a fabulous mix of music, food, fashion and fun. It takes place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August and is set in the beautiful surroundings of Albert Park in the heart of Middlesbrough.
Join us on Friday 15 August to help support the setting up of the Mela. We will meet at the Student Life Building at 9:45am and walk together to Albert Park and report at the bandstand at 10:00
It will be busy from the word go with setting up the event space, putting up decorations, gazebos, tables, chairs and setting up the various event spaces.
You will be fully supported throughout by the volunteer coordinators and will gain firsthand experience in what is involved with an event as big as this.
We will finish volunteering at 13:00 and walk back over the campus, arriving back around 13:15.
