Enhancing your student experience at Teesside University

International Student Barometer Response

At Teesside University, we are committed to enhancing your student experience. The ISB survey enables us to gain valuable insights into the experiences of our international students, allowing us to identify our strengths and areas for improvement in ways that are important to you.

Here's how we transformed your feedback from the ISB survey into meaningful change.

You told us you wanted more ways to make friends and social connections

We organised a series of events designed to foster meaningful connections, both socially and academically.

  • Casual Social Connections through Fika
Weekly ‘Fika’ sessions at Middlesbrough and Darlington campuses let students connect over coffee and crafts. Just drop in and enjoy!
  • Mindful movement sessions for well-being
Mindful movement sessions at both campuses offer a relaxing space for well-being.
  • Family-friendly study sessions
Twice-weekly study sessions with supervised children’s activities now help students with dependents to focus on coursework while their kids participate in crafts and play.
  • Teesside Essentials (TEES) activity series
This series, available online from three weeks before term and throughout the year, helps students settle into local life.
  • Campus bible study
Our on-campus bible study group is back, creating a space for connection and support within our faith community.
